We had a girl’s night right before Christmas. The four of us headed to the Big Easy Creole Kitchen Restaurant in Cherry Creek North. This delicious find is located at 250 Steele Street, Denver, CO 80206, 303-954-9398. A very quaint location located in Suite #104 right by Ondo’s Spanish Tapas Bar. The service was fantastic and the food was equally wonderful. The ambiance is very sophisticated. We sat in a booth and enjoyed good conversation, wine, and of course food. The main reason I liked the Big Easy Creole Kitchen Restaurant so much is that the food is classy Creole. I really liked the attention to detail. The bread basket alone enticed me. A plain piece of bread with a slight spread of butter and THEN a sprinkle of seasoning. It is that simple. The seasoning is on the table right next to the salt and pepper. It makes a simple piece of bread delectable.

For dinner I ordered a Big Easy Dinner Entree. I ordered the Crawfish & Shrimp Etouffee.

It was so good that I took the picture after I started digging in. I couldn’t help it. I was so hungry. I started to break apart the cornbread and saturate it in the wonderful simmered herbs & spices.

My neighbor is from Louisiana and every year we are invited to their crawfish boil and he would no doubt just love that restaurant. Creole cuisine is very difficult to find in Texas and by the way did they have beignets?
They have Banana Foster Beignets on the menu. We didn’t try them but they sure sound good. It is a great place to eat and the folks at the restaurant are very nice.
