United States Mint in Denver

http://www.usmint.gov/mint_tours/?action=startreservation

The US Mint tour in Denver is definitely worth your time.  Reservations for the tour are required.  The tour is brief but full of history and interesting information.  The tour is free.  We enjoyed the tour as well as the gift shop.  In the gift shop we were able to find the circulated National Park quarters (2010-present) as well as the newest National Park quarter.  The gift shop is separate from the tour so you can browse before and after the tour.

A special note: prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

  • Handbags, purses, fanny packs, tote bags, backpacks, packages, etc.
  • Strollers
  • Food, drinks, tobacco products, lighters and matches.  Weapons, including pocket knives and personal protective devices such as pepper spray.

The United States Mint at Denver does NOT provide storage for any items.

Photography inside the building is prohibited.

    • Yes, it was recommended. A family friend said we should take the tour. He also told us to be sure to make the reservations online because the tours can fill up quickly. Thank you for checking out the blog.
