Steuben’s Restaurant Denver, Colorado

On March 13, 2012 I posted about Eating Our Way Through Denver!–

Since that post we have tried 3 out of the 10 restaurants that I listed.  We have tried Blake Street Vault, LoHi Steakbar, and Steuben’s.  This post is dedicated to the very delicious Steuben’s.  The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was superb.

We made it in time for Happy Hour- (Weekdays 2pm-6pm) and ordered the Peel & Eat Shrimp for $7.00 and the Steubie Snacks (braised pork shoulder, deep fried, and dredged in powdered sugar) for $6.00.  My husband ordered one Deviled Egg for 50 cents.  The portions were fabulous for Happy Hour.  The shrimp had a wonderful seasoning and the powdered sugar on the pieces of meat were out of this world.

Now on to dinner–  For dinner I ordered the vegetarian chili relleno–pinto beans and pico de gallo.  My husband ordered the blue plate–13oz NY strip steak, fries, and sauteed vegetables.  Seriously, so good!  We enjoyed our first Moscow Mule (–Sobieski Vodka, fresh squeezed lime, ginger beer, served in a copper mug, so delicious and refreshing.  We totally overindulged but it was worth it.  If you haven’t been to Steuben’s you must go!  I don’t joke about great tasting food.  Another restaurant on our list is Steuben’s sister restaurant,  Vesta Dipping Grill.

Steuben’s also has a food truck–

  1. Steuben’s is great! Have you been there for their late night happy hour? $5 cheeseburger, fries and a beer after 10 every night! You can’t beat that great deal and the burger is GOOD!! 🙂

What do you think?
