Colorado Burning

This is the headline on the news “Colorado Burning.”  This post is dedicated to all of the people who are fighting the fires and to all of the people affected by the fires.  Our positive thoughts and prayers go out to all the Coloradans who are dealing with these unrelenting fires.  In Colorado we have seen and felt record breaking temperatures (triple digit heat).  This heat has literally added fuel to the blazes that have popped up around this beautiful state.  We need prayers, cooler temperatures, and RAIN!

Please keep Colorado in your thoughts and prayers.

  1. This breaks my heart. We are fortunate enough to be out of harm’s way. The stories that I am hearing from friends and family are scary. To our South, Flagstaff or Boulder fire. To the West, the Estes Park fire. To our North the High Park or Fort Collins fire. We can see this from our deck at Pinewood Lake.

    • These fires are so scary. It seems like a new one pops up daily. Once it seems like one fire is contained a new one appears. It is so sad and I can’t imagine what the folks who have been evacuated must feel.

  2. I knew it was going to happen due to how bad the pine beetle problem was / all of the dead trees when I was up there, but, even still… NOOoooooooo! Really sucks, a depressing time– Trying not to think about it too much.

    • All of these fires have been scary but the one in Colorado Springs was so fierce. One minute we thought it was contained and the next minute people are being evacuated and homes are on fire. I can’t smell smoke in Denver but when we were in Fort Collins for the Mat Kearney concert the smell of smoke was strong. I can’t even imagine what these folks are going through.
